“Dear Mr. Ruiz, I would like to express my appreciation to you for helping my daughter, Holly, and myself with our lice problem. You may recall that after becoming infected with lice following a breakout at Holly’s elementary school, I tried over-the-counter treatments and obtained advice from my family practitioner, all to no avail. My situation was particularly challenging both because of the length and thickness of Holly’s and my hair and because I live alone with my 2 children and had no one to help me work on my hair.
